About the author

Eric Nils Timmer started his career with the introduction and implementation of Lean methods early. As a master at Mercedes-Benz (management of 40 employees), he used Leans' philosophy and its tools to achieve the safety, quality and cost-effectiveness targets. As a Lean Manufacturing Expert, he successfully carried out numerous transformation projects at home and abroad. Most recently, Eric Timmer was responsible for Lean implementation in production and administration at Mars Deutschland GmbH as Head of Lean and Training. In addition to the development and leadership of his employees, he successfully coached executives at all levels. As an expert in Lean Manufacturing, Eric Timmer focuses on the introduction of Shop Floor Management as well as on the analysis, design and implementation of efficient factory processes. He is also distinguished by his expertise in the design and construction of Lean Shop Floor organizations. Since 2014 he has been working for Staufen AG as Project Manager in the area of Shop Floor Management.
